Italian Style is a compilation of previously unreleased tracks from the stable of Jalapeno Records and Illegal Beats. The first “Italian Summer†is a spacey summer stormer from Nicolas Scaravilli aka Kid Crème, with jazzy chords, funky up bass and the ultra tight percussion that is his trademark. Funk Jam shows a different side to his personality with a downtempo groove to keep the faithful head nodding. Italian house music icon Cricco Castelli makes an appearance with “Everybody to the Sun†taken from his forthcoming To The Sun EP on Illegal Beats. Joey Polpette â€" AKA producer Alex Rizzo turns in some classic reworkings with a version of Gil Scott Heron’s The Bottle vocalled by Maysa of Incognito fame as well as a supercool mix of Osibisa’s Sunshine Day re-worked with love from the original master tapes. Elio Isola shows the deeper side of the label with tracks like “Blu†and “Happy†featuring Charlise. Isola also provides the production on the re-work of classic funk track 24/7 love by Irini. Finally Ski Oakenfull completes the line-up with the ultra slick “Slo-fix†Sequenced (not mixed) so as to be DJ friendly for the CD Mixers out there but still easy on the ear for home listeners â€" this is an album of summer style treats served up Italian Style
